DWMA's New Girl ch 8

Mosome stared at her opponent before her, her eyes narrowed, her breathing hard. She'd taken down more than half the Konjo agents, and Demon was taking care of the rest. But this one.. This one was different. It was a woman with long sleek white hair, and electric blue eyes.

She was a lightning user. Her name was Rain. She was the captain of the team of elites that Mosome had just defeated, and Mosome found herself highly intimidated by the woman before her. It couldn't click in her mind as to why she'd be afraid, but her instincts were screaming at her to run.

She ignored them, and charged Rain planning to knock her in the jaw. But before Mosome knew it, Rain's knee was jammed into her gut so hard she couldn't breath, and then it happened.

Suddenly, Mosome couldn't think, she couldn't see, she couldn't move, and she couldn't scream. Electricity surged through her body, disorienting her thought process, her nervous system and her vitals such as her heart. Her heart was racing at an unhealthy pace and she was virtually frozen in place as Rain heartlessly shocked her.

Demon had finished off his attacker and he turned to see Mosome's huge eyes, her pupils shrunk to tiny dots so her eyes looked white almost, and his ears flattened instantly as he threw himself at Rain, tackling the woman and he bit her arm, receiving a painful shock himself.

Mosome had instantly fallen to the ground when Demon knocked Rain away, and she couldn't move, still unable to get her thoughts together enough to realize what had just happened. She glanced up in a dazed look, and a man with a cloak like Rain's was pulling out a small rod. He placed it against her neck and simultaneously, Mosome's eyes rolled back and she completely went limp.

The man did the same thing to Demon, and he collapsed to his side, becoming his puppy form once again as he watched his master being dragged into a portal and vanish.

The kids were all at a cafe in Death City somewhere, enjoying some food or a nice drink. In Black Star's case, he was stuffing his face with a giant sub and slurping down a large soda, while Soul had settled on a Coke since he'd eaten his lunch and most of Liz's since she had walked away from her tray.

Kid was sitting with them but he neither ate nor drank, lost in his own thoughts as he tried to sense for Mosome's soul. No one had really bugged him about it, they were all a bit on edge for their friends safety, Soul especially. He felt like a failure of a weapon when Mosome had refused to wield him before she left even though he understood why, so he was currently being given a pep-talk by Black Star and Patty while he sipped at his soda.

Of course, they naturally would fall silent when the whimpering of a puppy could be heard from a distance, and Patty (being her) yelled, "There's a hurt puppy out there!!" and she sped off towards it. She brought back a beaten looking puppy who was barely conscious.

Black Star surprisingly was the first of the group to take pity on it and he ran over, "Who would do that to an innocent puppy?"

Kid looked up and sensed the dogs soul, "Wait a second... That's Mosome's dog." they all froze and stared at it. Kid stood suddenly, breaking the silence, "That's it. I'm going to fathers room and I'll try using his mirror to find her." He raised his hands out in front of him, and a skull symbol appeared below him and he disappeared into it, appearing in his fathers room.

Soul walked over to Patty as she held Demon, and he eyed the dog, "What happened to you?"

Demons ear twitched, "Konjos... they- they took her. Lightning everywhere, it was insane!"

Soul frowned, "Stay calm dude, tell me what happened exactly."

Demon looked at Soul, "Mosome's body can't withstand electricity, and neither can her powers. It completely throws her out of wack, and when that lightning user attacked... She was basically helpless to fight back... They paralyzed me, and took her..."

Kid's voice came from behind them, "I found her."
