DWMA's New Girl ch 9

I can't think strait, nor control my own body. Why... What the hell is happening to me? Mosome is jerked from her subconscious thoughts when another bolt of electricity goes flying through her body, this time aiming to kill her. She gave a blood curdling scream right as an explosion happened behind the other side of the door of the cell Mosome was trapped in.

She fell limp, her eyes just barely open with a hint of a gloss over them as a figure walked over to her quickly and lifted her up. Blurred words reached her ears barely, seeming like whispers, she muttered 'Soul...' before her eyes rolled back and she blacked out.

Soul looked down at his wielder, holding her limp body with fear in his eyes. Black Star had taken care of the lightning user, Kid was holding off any guards, and Black Star's yell reached Soul's ears suddenly, "Get her out of here dammit! Go!" He was ambushed by a few other Konjo's as Soul stood up and made a mad dash past Black Star, then past Kid, and soon the two were following after them as they ran back to the portal they'd used to enter the demention.  

Kid was eying Mosome carefully, making sure her soul didn't fade any farther than it already was. The gang made it back to Death City, and they all ran to the school infirmary as fast as possible- Soul constantly talking to Mosome to see if she'd respond at all, which was a wasted effort.

The infirmary was a small room similar to a hospital, Demon was curled up in a corner having passed out from the beating he'd received at the fight before hand. The nurse was a tall woman, seeming perfectly normal. She had blond hair with some bangs, and her hair was cut short in the back, with a few long curled bangs on each side and she turned around, "What's happened?" she blinked.

Kid looked at Demon, "Same thing as him, sort of. We don't really know exactly what happened to her while she was missing, but when we got there to bust her out, she was being shocked to a point it could've easily killed her."

The nurse nodded and had Soul lay Mosome on the closest open bed, "Electricity? This is that new student isn't it, Mosome correct? Isn't she telepathic?" she asked as she began cleaning Mosome's few open wounds.

Soul nodded, "Yeah, shes telepathic mixed with God only knows what else."

The nurse nodded, "Right. Thank you kids, all of you. You just saved her life by a few moments. Now shoo, I have to get her stable before I can allow visitors again."

Soul and Kid looked like they didn't want to leave their friend's side, even Black Star hesitated a bit, but Liz was the one who took them all by their shirt collars and dragged them out, calling over her shoulder, "Thank you Medusa."

As soon as they'd left, Medusa smirked to herself, A telepath of Mosome's power could easily come in handy on Arachnophobia side... I wouldn't even need the Black Blood to control her.. With her link to different minds, just one encounter with the Kishin could easily make her unstable...

She looked down at the unconscious girl, "Goodnight dear Mosome, you've got a long few years ahead of you~..." She gave a sickening smirk, and walked away from the bed.
